How to get the most out of a Tarot Reading
Updated: Jan 27, 2022

For most people, a Tarot reading, is an opportunity to get some in-depth answers about situations, people, events and relationships in their lives. It helps them to gain clarity, hope and insight into exactly what is going on, or what they can expect to happen.
By following the tips below, you will get the most out of your reading.

Top Tips to help
Be Clear - know exactly what you want to get out of your reading and have your questions ready. Jumping about from one subject to another is not helpful for you or your reader. Be specific with your questions - The more specific you are with your questions the more specific the answers will be. Tarot readers and psychics are not mind readers. If you start your reading with "I want you to tell me about my love life" you will get general answers about your love life. If you start with "how can I improve my relationship with my partner' you are going to get much better guidance and insight. Invest in your reading - By paying for your reading you are investing in yourself and in your reader. For many readers, psychics and the like, this is their job, (even more, for most it's their soul's calling). This is how they make a living, and they have spent years honing their skills to give you the best readings they can possibly give. Please value that. Readings are offered to help people, to change lives and to provide for themselves and their families, they still have to pay bills and eat like the rest of the world. Don't rush the reader - Your reading should be special and a time you value. All readers/psychics work differently, some with cards, some with spirit, some with guides, and some with all. Allow the reader time to connect with you. Book an appropriate amount of time to spend with your reader. If you have 20 question and only want a 10 min reading, you are not going to get a good reading as you are rushing the reader and not really listening to the answers as you are already thinking about the next question. Take your time and enjoy the experience. Be open - With all the bad press that readers and psychics experience, a lot of people go into readings very closed and don't communicate with the reader as they "don't want to give too much away". This really doesn't help you to get a good reading. Be open and communicate with your reader. The more closed you are the hard it will be for the reader to connect to your energy and give you a good reading. A reading is a two way connection between yourself and your reader. Be understanding - Spirit works in mysterious ways! You may well go into a reading wanting to know x,y,z but if spirit has a different plan for you then that is how the reading will go. If it is much more important that you know something, need something etc then, that is what will happen in the reading. The things that you need to know will always take priority over the things you want to know. Make Time afterwards - Do give yourself time to take in everything that your reader has for you. After your reading take some quiet time to digest what has been said instead of rushing off to the next thing on your 'to do' list. Sometimes it takes time for us to absorb all the messages we received.
By following this advice you will receive a good reading that will help you in the long run. The chances are that you have chosen a reader that has experienced the same or similar things you have, and will often have good life experience to share or practical steps that you can put into place.
